Our historical hotel is located in the centre of Ortisei, which is Val Gardena’s main town and an internationally renowned holiday destination. We are in the heart of the Dolomites, whose peaks not only delight our guests, but have lots to offer you too. Opportunities range from walking trails, mountain climbs and bike itineraries in summer to ski slopes and cross-country trails in winter. Ortisei has its own set of attractions, including sports and leisure facilities, an attractive pedestrian zone and an excellent public transport network for easy access to the other villages in the area and the towns of Bolzano and Bressanone.

Location & key facts

ADLER Spa Resorts DOLOMITI & BALANCE are both located in the centre of Ortisei, the largest municipality in the Val Gardena valley, in the heart of the Dolomites. The two resorts sit right next to each other, and the two buildings are connected.
ADLER Spa Resort DOLOMITI – our historical hotel – has 109 guest rooms, while the medical spa-focused BALANCE is a smaller retreat with just 31 rooms.
The two resorts combined have a staff of around 200 employees, and can accommodate around 300 guests at full occupancy.

Staff and guests

We have an international clientele. The majority of our guests are from Italy and the German-speaking countries, but we also get visitors from the USA, the UK, Belgium, Sweden and many other countries, all sharing a desire for tranquillity, contact with nature and deep relaxation. While most of our employees are Italian, our staff also includes members from 22 different countries, such as Romania, Germany, Moldova, Bangladesh, South America and more.

Opening season

All ADLER Spa Resorts & Lodges are open 11 months a year. ADLER Spa Resort DOLOMITI & BALANCE welcome guests approximately from May to March/April (depending on when Easter is).

Working hours

We offer a five-day week with flexible working hours and the option to choose a part-time arrangement across all our departments. Good coordination among the various departments is crucial to ensure that operations run smoothly and the needs of both the department and the individual employee are fully met.

Contracts of employment

Generally, we offer new employees a fixed-term contract to begin with, which can be replaced by a permanent contract of employment subject to mutual agreement and satisfaction. Some positions are also available on an on-demand or freelance basis, if appropriate.

Accommodation

ADLER Spa Resort DOLOMITI & Balance staff are offered approximately 120 accommodation units within a radius of 100 metres to almost 2 kilometres from hotel grounds. Allowing for some variations, most units consist of single or double rooms with a private bathroom and toilet, as well as cooking facilities. Some units include parking, and parking spaces are provided in the hotel garage for all other units. Accommodation is rent-free, but operational costs are deducted from the wage. Rooms are allocated by management and are available for the duration of the employment contract. To foster independence, we also offer subsidies for renting apartments from third-party owners.

Amenities

All our accommodation units are fully furnished and equipped with the basics, including towels and bed linen. Amenities include a laundry room with washing machine and dryer, and cleaning equipment such as a vacuum cleaner is provided directly in each apartment. All units have free Wi-Fi. Additionally, our employees enjoy access to the gym in time slots to be agreed with mangement.

Meals

Our staff are welcome to use the hotel’s canteen every day at breakfast, lunch and dinner, including on their days off.

Work attire

ADLER provides some elements of employees’ work attire. For more details, please contact our director or your head of department.

Probationary period

The probationary period can last from 14 days to 6 months, depending on rank and position.

Insurance

Employees are covered by the Italian health and social security insurance from their first day at work. Additionally, we provide supplementary health insurance through the MySanitour fund.

Languages

As the majority of our guests are from Italy, fluency in Italian at C1 level is requisite. Additionally, good command of German and English is an advantage at all ADLER Spa Resorts & Lodges. Knowledge of all three languages is required for some positions.

Onboarding

You will receive all necessary onboarding information by e-mail before you start work. The director or head of department will also be in touch by phone to define the details. A tutor will be assigned to you to answer any important questions you may have during onboarding.
